Washington DC Young Republicans
The DC Young Republicans (DCYRs) is an organization of individuals between the ages of 18 and 40 committed to supporting Republican causes in the nation’s capitol.
Our mission is fourfold:
• To provide grassroots support for conservative issues and Republican candidates, both locally and nationally;
• To attract young people to the Republican party by providing engaging and insightful activities and material to our members;
• To provide training to young Republicans, and;
• To offer young Republicans the platform they need to become the leaders of today, not just those of tomorrow.
We take part in Republican activities in the DC community, everything from collecting goods for charity to registering voters, to campaigning for Republican candidates. Our Organization provides its members a unique opportunity to meet decision makers and to get to know like-minded individuals in and around DC. We are active in DC proper, the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area, and on the national level.
The DCYRs general meetings are on the second Monday of every month at the Capitol Hill Club. Our meetings feature prominent guests, who speak on issues of prime importance to young Republicans. We also have monthly happy hours during the fourth week of every month at different membership selected venues.

Davidson County (TN) Republican Party
“The days of Davidson County being a one-party town are over. The Davidson County Republican Party is energized and motivated,” says DCRP Chairman Kathleen Starnes. “We are recruiting good candidates to run for office and are organizing the Party down to the precinct level. We are determined to win elections.”
And that’s the message and mission of the DCRP. Specifically, in 2010, the DCRP is working to increase the number of Republican Senators and Representatives in the 106th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee with a view toward the decennial redrawing of district lines which should strengthen the Republican member’s majorities in both bodies. In addition, the DCRP seeks to play a significant part in helping to elect a Republican governor. After the gubernatorial election, the DCRP’s focus will turn to the 2011 councilmatic elections.
With these goals in mind, the DCRP has developed a grassroots strategy to bring together Republicans and conservatives all throughout Davidson County. Grassroots summits are occurring in Bellevue, Goodlettsville, Antioch, Hermitage, Madison, Donelson, Green Hills, Old Hickory and Belle Meade. Also, the DCRP is reaching out to connect with various ethnic groups, conservative leaders and area coalitions in order to share ideas, strategize and unify at special meetings.
And because it takes money to fund candidates, host grassroots gatherings and get the word out, the DCRP is also focused on raising funds through donations and special events including its annual summer barbecue and April 16, 2010 Reagan Day Dinner.
Please join us and help us elect officials who demonstrate the core values and beliefs of the DCRP and will uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.
CORE VALUES & BELIEFS
1. We affirm the traditional values of the American experience
and believe they provide an effective and constant way for the development and improvement of society.
2. We support the free enterprise system as the primary way to grow the economy, provide jobs and encourage the creative power of the individual.
3. A strong national defense program is necessary for the protection of a free society.
4. We support limited government with less intrusion into the private affairs of individuals and business, including the right to keep and bear arms.
5. We believe government should reduce spending, lower taxes and eliminate fraud and abuse.
6. We believe our laws should be written with a fundamental respect for the sanctity and beauty of life.
The Davidson County Republican Party exists to advance and strengthen the Republican cause and values among Davidson County’s 300,000+ voters.
It is governed by a Board of 16 Executive Committee members and 8 State Executive Committee members whose overarching goal is to find, support, fund and elect qualified candidates for Local, State and Federal offices.
